What is my Spiritual journey?

av-admin Blog - Just Saying

For a lot of us, that is the burning question that seems to be on our minds these days. Have you ever asked yourself “What is my life purpose” or “Why am I here? If so, then you are probably looking for more peace and harmony in your daily life, and have a genuine desire to make yours and those around you lives better.

I believe that Spiritually is a journey we travel on to get from our flawed, human self, to our divine, heavenly self (our best version of us). Pretty simple when you think about it. I recently heard this from Davidji, who is a spiritual adviser and speaker through Hay House. It really struck a cord with me, as I had been looking for a simpler definition of Spirituality that wasn’t based on a religious concept, and his words were so easy to define.

Now there are many modules to help learn about Spirituality. Many books, videos, gurus, courses, and other resources are available online, at the library, etc, that can help us find our way. I believe that when you come across the “one” method that will guide you on your journey, it will resonate so strongly within you, that you will wonder how you didn’t see it in the first place. Whatever way works for you is the best way.

Of course this just doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a daily process like anything else, that needs nurturing, commitment and understanding, in order to feel a sense of oneness and a deep contentedness, with all things that are not tied to the ego. Perhaps yoga, prayer, or being of service to others, can help you on your journey.

One of the easiest and most beneficial ways, is by doing a daily meditation. This daily practice has not only the mental clarity attached to it, but the physical clarity is there too. How much more open, receptive and relaxed you will feel when you have surrendered yourself to complete stillness and quiet for a short period of time. Nothing else will take place in your life during this time frame. You will be completely in the present, focusing only on your breath, your heartbeat, and the quiet stillness of your soul. This is a practice that I do for 30 minutes every morning and even though it is my quiet time, it actually jump starts my day and keeps the positive energy flowing, with a body rejuvenation of sorts. Now if this morning practice is too long for you, just sit quietly then for a few moments and listen, while breathing in and out slowly and settling your busy mind. If nothing else, you will start off your day being grounded and centered and now able to tackle the traffic, the busy work day or other daily responsibilities.

Whatever way you choose to work on your better self, embrace the Spiritual journey itself, and start to look within today.
